The day after Jake arrived in Puerto Barrios he helped some English-speaking doctors with translating for patients at a clinic they had set up in a local school. Jake said it was one of the hardest things he has ever done. Even though he is close to being fluent in Spanish, he had only been there one day, and wasn't used to the dialect. All in all a very hard but rewarding experience.
