"This week was Semana Santa, so no one was in their houses and everyone was in the streets participating in processions. It's kinda weird to explain, but on Friday everyone made this crazy carpet thing in the road out of sand dust, and in the night they carried a big wooden box around the city, which I think is supposed to represent having Christ's body in it. On Sunday they did something else too, but I didn't see it because we were busy teaching people."
